Membership in IAC3

Who Should Join?

You must be a member of the IAC National organization in order to be a member of IAC Chapter 3.  This holds for all flying members who wish to compete in contests since our insurance is derrived from IAC National.  Honorary members, volunteers, and family members may be members of the chapter without joining the national organization.

Why Should I Join?

Members have access to parts of the web site that non-members do not have.  This includes contact with other members and notification of upcoming events.  Only members of the Chapter may manage the FAA-waivered airspace at Tara Field, including opening and closing the aerobatic box.  Besides, the dues have stayed constant for over five years, so you get more for your money as time goes by!

How Much Does It Cost?

It's only $30 for the local chapter.  This money goes to operating the chapter, including events such as the Spring contest, summer BBQ, and holiday party.  The calendar is drawn up each year by the elected officers and does change from time to time.  Anyone who wants to help out with additional events will find a receptive audience with the chapter officers.

What Do I Need To Do?

  • First, join IAC National if you intend to be a flying member of the chapter.
  • Second, fill out our Membership Form.
  • Then send your dues to the current Treasurer.
  • Start attending events and having a lot of fun with other chapter members!  That's all there is to it.
